Fundamentals of Real Estate is the mandatory first step in your Alberta real
estate licensing journey. Before you can register with a brokerage, represent
clients, or sit the RECA pre-licensing exam, you need to complete this course
— and pass.
Built around RECA requirements and developed by licensed Alberta real estate
and mortgage professionals, this course goes beyond reading material. Every
lesson is designed to build genuine understanding through interactive
activities, applied scenarios, and progressive knowledge checks — so you are
not just prepared for the exam, but for real practice.
This course covers the full scope of knowledge required for the RECA Fundamentals of Real Estate exam, organized across 15 units:
