Starting Your Licensing Journey

The process runs across three phases:

Eligibility — Create a myRECA account, complete the eligibility application, pay the eligibility fee, and submit proof of identity and education to RECA for approval.

Education — Enrol in and complete the Fundamentals of Real Estate course, pass the RECA exam, then do the same for the Practice of Real Estate course. You have two exam attempts per course, and exams must be booked within three months of completing each course.

Licensing — Complete a criminal record check, have your sponsoring brokerage initiate your licensing application, and pay your licensing fees. Your licence is then issued through myRECA.

Advanced Real Pro covers the education phase — the foundation of everything that follows. RECA eligibility and licensing fees are separate and paid directly to RECA.

To enrol in pre-licensing education, RECA requires you to:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Have a minimum of a Canadian high school diploma or equivalent
  • rovide valid government-issued identification
  • Demonstrate English language proficiency

You are responsible for confirming you meet all eligibility requirements before enrolling. Full details are available at reca.ca.

Advanced Real Pro is a RECA-recognized course provider. Your myRECA ID links your course progress to your official RECA account, which is required for you to be eligible to sit the pre-licensing exam. You can create a myRECA account at no cost at reca.ca before enrolling.

Once you complete your course, we will notify RECA that you are eligible to sit the exam. You will then receive booking instructions through your myRECA account. Exam fees are paid directly to RECA and are separate from your course fees.

Yes — you have one year from the date you pass your Practice course exam to complete your licensing application. Missing this deadline results in forfeiture of both your Fundamentals and Practice exam results, meaning you would need to restart the education process. Plan accordingly.

You cannot practice as a licensed real estate agent until your licence is active. However, there is no restriction on completing your coursework while employed in an unrelated role.

The RECA Exam

A minimum score of 70% is required to pass the RECA pre-licensing exam.

RECA permits two attempts within three months of your eligibility date. Each attempt requires a separate exam fee paid directly to RECA.

RECA requires you to re-enrol in a pre-licensing course before attempting the exam again. If this happens, our exam pass guarantee applies — see below.

Our Exam Pass Guarantee

If you complete your course and do not pass both RECA exam attempts, we will refund your full course purchase price — no conditions, no deductions. We believe in our curriculum. If we couldn’t get you there, you shouldn’t pay for it.

Contact us through our Contact Us page within 14 days of receiving your second exam attempt result. We will follow up to confirm eligibility and guide you through the process. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Platform & Access

Courses are delivered entirely online through our learning platform. Content includes lessons, quizzes, and a final practice exam designed to prepare you for the RECA exam. You can study from any device with an internet connection.

No. Each account is registered to a single individual and account sharing is strictly prohibited. This is a RECA requirement as well as a condition of your enrolment with us.

No. Once enrolled, you have lifetime access to your course content. Study at your own pace without worrying about expiry dates.

Pricing & Billing

Your course fee covers full access to all course content. Separately, RECA charges fees for the eligibility application, pre-licensing exams, and your licence. You will also need a certified criminal record check. These are regulatory costs paid directly to RECA and are not collected by Advanced Real Pro.

We do not offer refunds once course access has been granted, as content is delivered digitally and access is immediate. If your myRECA ID could not be verified and access was never granted, no charge will have been made. For billing errors or technical issues, contact us within 7 days of purchase. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

We’re happy to help. Reach out through our Contact Us page and we’ll get back to you promptly.
